Five Star Breaktime Solutions is pleased to announce its acquisition of Cajun Vending of Houma LLC, a strategic move that will significantly expand its footprint across Louisiana’s bayou country and further solidify its presence in the Gulf region's breakroom market, vending, and office coffee services.
Cajun Vending, based in Houma, Louisiana, was established in 1993 by Richard Franklin, a retired Shell Oil Company employee. With the support of his son Dean, Richard started the business from his garage with just one account. Over the years, under the leadership of Derek Franklin—Richard’s grandson—and with the continued support of his mother Kathleen and wife Terra, Cajun Vending has grown to serve more than 180 accounts, offering a range of vending and office coffee services throughout the greater Houma area.
Derek Franklin, who made the decision to sell the family business to spend more time with his loved ones, will be joining Five Star Breaktime Solutions. His involvement will be instrumental in ensuring a seamless transition for Cajun Vending’s customers.
